Tiny Person thoughts - 5/14/2021

Tiny person is vigilant and wearing his mask because of the virus. He even where is it after he gets off the bus and we are driving home.

He's had a lot of sinus issues lately because of all of the blooming trees and plants around here. And, as aunt continues to plant more stuff around the yard. Still, he did not want to miss any days this week because he had some kind of reading test that he needed to complete.

He continues to see cousins frequently, and really loves it even though it presents challenges with sharing toys and bossy Ness from others and doing the trade-offs of game rules and the like. But, he still likes being around them and I am grateful that he gets to have this experience during a time when the world is clamped down in so many ways in different places.

He is actually reading now. I'm not sure how it happened. I know that we did do workbooks every day this winter and yet I didn't push him to read and we probably still don't read enough. However, he absolutely loves his kindergarten teacher and what he is learning at school. He is a good listener and his teacher says that he is always concerned about her and why people aren't listening and wants to do good work.

One of his cousins dropped some thing carelessly the other day and I wasn't listening to his parents. Tiny person turned to me and said that's why I little boys need parents. It's the title of a little book that he likes that shows all of the crazy stuff that little boys do and that's why they need to parents.

There is only one week left for kindergartners at school. Even though he may go to summer school, this is the end of a special year filled with special challenges. He technically started kindergarten mid to late October and so he missed a couple of months and yet he is still far advanced compared to others in the classes if you would want to do a comparison. As his mom, I've decided that education is important but even more so our social skills, spirituality, how he treats others, and The importance of being open to learning. A willing heart and mind along with some work really means everything in life

He's been a trooper as we talk to daddy every day virtually. I try not to say anything negative, and I hope he realizes that we are all working together to communicate until love each other through all the experiences we are going through..

Special little boy that is rapidly growing up.
