Tiny Person - 1/2 way through Kindergarten - Parent-Teacher Conference
We had a great virtual parent-teacher conference last night. Here's the summary: Math - He can count to 100, he can count by 10s to 100. The point goal (based upon several factors) for the school year is 379. His first test (November 2020) - 347 His second test (January 2021) - 391 Practice - daily practice the numbers - up to 100, by 10s, by 5s Practice - start giving him story problems to work on since kids are often afraid of them. Practice - start adding with double numbers. He is already for 1st grade math and she is going to look into what the 1st graders are learning. Writing - Lots of writing. Sounds out the words really well and writes lots of sentences. Practice on the finger space between words. Reading - Doing well reading and sounding out words. The goal for the year is 415 points.
